It is said that math and music go together, and these CDs are proof that they do! Mr. Guffee's songs teach concepts and lift your spirits at the same time. Listening to them, I can't help but grin from head to toe. The songs are an entertaining way to reinforce important mathematical ideas, and they are wonderful learning partners for use both at home and school.

Songs you'll remember, and they're fun to sing. After all, kids just wanna have fun. Me too! Fundamental concepts cloaked in bright, playful songs that everyone'll wanna sing. Harry Guffee has made an incredible effort to incorporate many math concepts into his tunes. In addition, the Spanish song "Cien Muy Bien" (one of two songs on the Do the Math CD with  lyrics in Spanish) includes Spanish numbers in multiples of ten. This cross curricular approach is a fun way to practice or even learn Spanish number vocabulary while learning math at the same time. Impressive work!

Harry Guffee shows his understanding that we all learn information better when it is meaningful to us and our lives. Music, in Mr. Guffees's estimation, stirs happy emotions - which in turn helps us learn and remember information. These math songs are interesting, motivating and fun. Your child will learn a lot about him/herself, as well as math. Come, take a chance, and enjoy Do the Math! and Got Math? with your children!

This is the best CD ever! My most favorite song is Daddy, Mother, Sister, Brother ("The Guzinta Family" on Do the Math! ) because it taught me how to do long division. I love singing along, too!

Harry Guffee has done it! He has found a way for kids to learn math while having fun. After listening to Do the Math! and Got Math?, I find myself going about my daily tasks singing the songs. Music is an excellent tool for teaching difficult concepts and committing those concepts to long term memory. I still remember science facts about the sun that were presented to me in song while in second grade. Now my children will have the same experience with math. Thank you Mr. Guffee! Don't be surprised if during the next standardized test you hear a room full of students humming your tunes!
